Belphegor is the Moabite god Bael-peor referred to in Numbers 25:3, Numbers 25:5, and Deuteronomy 4:3. Legend has it that he appears as a young girl who suggests brilliant discoveries and inventions. According to German witch-hunter Peter Binsfeld, he is the demon of sloth.
The sticker is derived from Louis Le Breton's illustration of Belphegor in the 1863 edition of the Dictionnaire Infernal.
